To get to our favourite mooring under the Eiffel Tower we have to pass a minature Statue of Liberty. Its a beautifully day without a cloud in the sky
Don't know if the car on the back of this boat is an ornament or their means of transport!
The Seine was very busy with the huge Bateau Mouche. They charged along fast but were quite considerate of us small boats & we had an uneventful trip along the river.
At night we had a great view of the Tower lit up with flashing lights. We had a twilight trip to the top - up in daylight to watch the lights of the city come on as it gradually got dark. Good job it was only a 10 minute walk back to the boat as it was nearly midnight when we got down.
We were moored up against a dutch barge called Peke, their dog liked to look in through the side hatch to see if we had any biscuits. It was useful being moored next to them as they were high enough to get ashore easily, the second time we were there we were next to the jetty & had to climb on the roof to get off.
We had a great time when Julian, Jill & Richard came to visit
This car suddenly burst into flames with the heat - apparantly a common sight in Paris in the summer
On the Saturday night we put on every light on the boat & joined the dinner cruises for the round trip to Notre Dame & back. The big boats didn't seem to mind & we got lots of waves from the people on the bridges as we passed. Richard tried to fish as we went along but with no success.
