This is a quick look at our time so far in France - starting from being lifted out in England April 2005
Its nice to see under the boat occasionally
Welcome to the website of Paul & Val & follow our journey through the European Waterways
We travelled on the lorry with the boat - only 2 seats so Val had a garden chair to sit on!
Our first lift bridge in Holland - a good job we didn't have to lift it by hand
In Gent we tried out the little boat for the first time. It was so quiet the locals stared in amazement wondering what was making it move so fast.
We had our first taste of French hospitality at Armentieres when we joined in their party to celebrate the anniversary of the boat club. After a very good lunch with lots of wine we took the boats out in a howling gale to parade along the river - a good test of out boat handling skills trying to get back into the harbour & moored up again.
The paper-mache cow was left over from a different event!
Same size only this time it swings
